Watch AVENGED SEVENFOLD Perform 'The Stage' Live For First Time

AVENGED SEVENFOLD played its new song "The Stage" live for the first time Saturday night (October 15) at Knotfest Mexico at the Ford Pegaso in Toluca. Video footage of the performance can be seen below.

"The Stage", which is available via Spotify and other streaming music services, is expected to be included on the California band's seventh studio album. The disc is rumored to be called "Voltaic Oceans" and has an alleged release date of December 9. None of this has been confirmed yet by the group itself, which has promised to reveal more information in a "special live event" on October 27.

Earlier last week, AVENGED SEVENFOLD launched a new web site at Deathbot.net to answer fan questions, although questions about the new album are met with cryptic or vague answers.

AVENGED SEVENFOLD launched its campaign for the new album as fans began spotting projections or pictures of the band's mascot, the Deathbat, in cities around the world.

The new disc will be released through Capitol, following the band's termination of its contract with Warner Bros. earlier this year after a legal battle.

AVENGED SEVENFOLD opened for METALLICA in Minneapolis in August and completed a string of headlining and festival dates earlier this fall.

The band's seventh studio album will be its first with new drummer Brooks Wackerman following the dismissal of Arin Ilejay in 2015.

AVENGED SEVENFOLD's previous two releases, 2013's "Hail To The King" and 2010's "Nightmare", both topped the Billboard album chart.
